The Sleeping Bear

In forest glade where shadows play
Beneath the moon's soft silver rays
A sleeping bear lies snug and tight
Dreaming through this tranquil night

Within his dreams a tale is spun
Of mountains kissed by morning sun
And birds whose songs will greet the morn
As the next day is newly born

Soon enough will the bear rise
And brush the stardust from his eyes
For now I bid you with these verses
Dulcia somnia, solaris ursus

I look forward to meeting you all
when I wake up. Until then,
be kind, be strong, and wear
a smile everywhere you go.
